Unanimous Declaration of the thirteen United States of America

Decorated Marine veteran Col. Speed Wilson, who fought in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam as a pilot, loved this country and our Constitution. Speed Wilson passed away in 2013. Col. Wilson had a different rendition of the Pledge of Allegiance. Here is his rendition. 

"I pledge allegiance to the Constitution of the United States of America and to the flag of the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."  

Notice, the emphasis is on pledging allegiance to the Constitution.  In this day of the battle of the flags, we should take this Marine veteran's advice and remember to where our allegiance should be.
