Pastors Protection Act HB 286 Hearing is Tuesday at the Ohio Statehouse

The Pastors Protection Act, HB 286, sponsored by State Rep. Nino Vitale, will receive a proponent testimony hearing in the Community and Family Advancement Committee, chaired by Rep. Tim Derickson and vice-chaired by Rep. Tim Ginter, on Tuesday, February 9th at 4 p.m. in Room 114.  

OCA President Chris Long will present proponent testimony supporting the bill.  In the aftermath of the SCOTUS decision (Obergfell v. Hodge) on homosexual marriage, constitutional attorneys have urged the states to move forward with statute legislation to protect religious liberty. HB 286 is a good first step to protect the religious rights of pastors and churches, emphasizing our First Amendment religious liberties. We look forward to presenting supporting testimony in committee on Tuesday.  

VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE BEFORE THE MARCH 15TH PRIMARY IS FEBRUARY 16TH.
