WWII Memorial Prayer Act is underway – The placement of FDR's D-Day Landing Prayer, S 1044, also known as The WWII Memorial Prayer Act, a project of the Ohio Christian Alliance for the past 4 years, is finally becoming a reality. The Parks Service is holding meetings with veterans groups and the OCA for the placement of the prayer at the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C. The cost of placing the prayer will not be paid for with tax dollars, but by private contributions. If you would like to contribute to the WWII Memorial Prayer Act, please indicate it on the note of your contribution, either by check or credit card when returning the enclosed contribution slip. If you would like to make your contribution in the name of a veteran, please indicate. Their name will be listed on the OCA website and the WWII Memorial Prayer Act website.

Statehouse swearing-in ceremony of Secretary of State Jon Husted

OCA President Chris Long was honored to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Secretary of State Jon Husted at the Ohio Statehouse on January 12. Chris was asked to offer the benediction. Also attending was his wife Silvia and OCA board member Will Riddle.

News in Focus Broadcast is heard each Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. on 1220 WHKW Cleveland Rick Santorum was on News in Focus radio broadcast this week, discussing the recent March for Life in Washington, D.C. and his new book that he and his wife Karen wrote about their miracle child, Bella, who was born with Trisomy 18, a condition that is often viewed as a death sentence. Bella beat the odds, as she is approaching her 7th birthday. Rick and Karen detail in the book how Bella has been a blessing to their family. The book is due to launch February 9. An Ohio book tour for March is in the works. We will keep you updated to times and locations on the OCA website. www.ohioca.org
Recent broadcasts included topics radical Islam and threats to the homeland, Statehouse and Washington updates from State Senator Larry Obhof, Congressman Bill Johnson, and Frank Gaffney. A post-election analysis was conducted with Rick Santorum, as well as receiving updates of the Iraqi Christian relief effort from the Chaldean Christian Community of Greater Detroit.
