Early Voting for Primary Begins April 1st. OCA Voter Guide (Primary)

The last time early voting will begin 35 days out from the Election starts on Tuesday, April 1. It's fitting that it is April Fools Day.  As many of you are aware, we at the OCA have been working on election reform legislation at the Statehouse limiting early voting and getting rid of Golden Week (SB 238 will be in effect for the General Election of 2014).  Other legislation addressing election reform in Ohio is still pending in the State Government and Legislative Oversight Committee in the Ohio House, i.e. HB 240 that will do away with special elections, HB 250 that will limit early voting to two weeks, and HB 269 that will require photo ID in Ohio for voting.  This legislation polls at 70% approval, and yet has not had a sponsor hearing yet.  Call your legislator today and urge them to support these reasonable legislative reforms of Ohio's election laws.
