D-Day Prayer Project update on this, the 71st anniversary of the landings
D-Day was JUNE 6, 1944.
Over 160,000 troops from America, Britain, Canada, free France, Poland, and other nations landed along a 50-mile stretch of the Normandy coast of France.
It was the largest amphibious invasion force in world history, supported by 5,000 ships with 195,700 navy personnel and 13,000 aircraft.
On that day, the sea along the heavily fortified beaches of Omaha, Utah, Gold, Juno, Sword and Pointe du Hoc ran red with the blood of almost 9,000 killed or wounded.
It was a major turning point in World War II. Today's American Minute with Bill Federer pays tribute to those Americans who liberated Europe and to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for freedom
Seventy-one years ago today, June 6, 1944, FDR went to the airwaves to announce that the liberation of Europe was underway with the invasion of Normandy by the Allied forces. His prayer will be added at the WWII Memorial. The Ohio Christian Alliance is working with the U.S. Parks System for its proper design and placement. This project will not be paid for with tax dollars, but by contributions from people like you who support our troops and appreciate our Godly heritage as a country. - Chris Long, OCA President

WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C. A fitting tribute to the 16 million Americans that served us in WWII. S 1044, The WWII Memorial Prayer Act, passed Congress on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the D-Day Landings on June 5, 2014 by unanimous consent in the U.S. Senate. One week later it was passed by a large majority in the U.S. House of Representatives and signed by The President on June 30th of last year.
PHASE II - OCA, with veterans groups, is working with the U.S. Parks Service for the proper design and placement of FDR's D-Day Landing Prayer in its entirety at the WWII Memorial. This project will not be paid for by tax dollars, but by contributions from Americans like you who support our troops and our American Godly heritage. You can click the donate button below to make a contribution that will be used to place this prayer at the Memorial.
